The art of the artist.

So I was going through some old files on my hard drive recently and I found some hings I had written that I didn't post and was still not going to. Its not that I didn't feel these were good peices, in fact some were better than what I had posted. its just the content in the was way to personal. and this go me wondering about the art an artist does for themseles. I wonder if there are works of the great artists of history that were hidden to others simply because of their personal meaning. It also makes me wonder about other's i know and think if this is the stuff i made, what do they have in their own collection. its an intresting thought. i mean the artist is supposed to put a piece of themselves in their work but what about the parts you don't want the world to see. They can be more inspiring sometimes. anyways i just saw it as an interesting thought. how much of our selves are we really able to put out there?

If, for instance,
One sunny morning god disappeared and everyone went crazy,

I cradle this body, my temple, and wait,
Whisper of better days,
And I still know so little.
